About the Position:

Golob Art seeks an Associate of Marketing and Business Development responsible for the creation and implementation of a proactive marketing strategy to grow Golob Art’s audience and establish its presence as a leader in the Arts for the region. The associate will also be responsible for identifying and establishing prospective partnerships to develop new revenue streams that support Golob Art’s mission in sectors including: arts, real estate, politics, retail, licensing etc.

12 – 15 hours per week, with opportunity to grow hours

About Golob Art:

Golob Art’s mission is to build community, lift people up, and transform physical space by creating, engaging, and planning for public art, placemaking, and other creative endeavors. Golob Art’s services are as varied as its clients: planning and implementation of art plans for municipalities; collaborating with architects for large real estate developments; creating landmark murals and installations with community organizations; conducting mural workshops for school-age children; establishing and running pop-up art spaces in downtown Boston; and lecturing on public art at universities. While Golob Art is a young studio, it has had success over the past two years and is looking to continue to grow its impact.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage content across media channels - digital, social, and traditional - with the intent to expand presence, increase engagement, and solidify brand.

  • Identify and track significant media metrics and provide analysis for improvement.

  • Establish Patreon platform to foster community driven engagement and contributions to support new art endeavors.

  • Tactically establish web-based retail operations for art, prints, and brand related merchandise.

  • Identify and develop in-person engagement and event opportunities (i.e. lectures, panel discussions, networking opportunities, conferences etc).

  • Manage logistics and PR related to project developments (i.e. new projects, unveilings, community-based events etc).

  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.

  • Research related to prospective clients, market, policy, etc.

  • Administrative duties as necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Exceptional writing skills

  • Experience with marketing, social media, and business development

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Ability to work in fast-paced and evolving environment

  • Solid planning, time management, and follow-through skills

  • Proficiency and efficiency utilizing Microsoft Suite and all mainstream social media platforms
     

Strong Preference:

  • Enrollment in or completion of a relevant degree program (Communications, Marketing, Arts Administration, Business, Communications, Finance, Art History preferred) OR 1+ year of relevant experience

  • Familiarity with website management

  • Proficiency with: vector-based image editing software (eg. Adobe Illustrator); raster-based image editing software (eg. Adobe Photoshop); and video-editing software.
